Some points on guidelines, organization, and general information.  Please read!

1. Kirkwood Ballers Club will now take place once a month at Eyedrum.

2. There is no charge for admittance.

3. The date may change from month to month, so check back for the specific schedule.  You may also check out the calendar at www.eyedrum.org for dates and time.

4. This event will only keep going if you keep playing.  Tell your friends to come by and bring instruments or just come to support you.

5. If you are a rock band, please search out other venues.  There are plenty of open mic scenarios around town that may be more suited for you.  Try Lenny’s Bar or Wonder Root or Eddie’s Attic or something….

6. Each act will get a total of 15 minutes to setup and perform.  Do not play KBC if your set is more than 10 minutes and it takes you longer than a few minutes to set up.  There will be 6 channels available for each act.  These can be direct input (keyboards, laptops etc.) or microphones.  Drums and large amps will not be mic’d.  This is meant to keep the event flowing efficiently.

7.  There is no longer an online signup sheet.  There will be a signup sheet at the entrance to Eyedrum.  Slots are available first come.  Please do not email or call to reserve slots as this method will not be honored.  Also, if you are going to sign up, please do so in person and do not get your friends to sign up for you.

8.  We expect everyone to hang out and support all of the performing artists.  Those of you that come only to play your slot and then leave will be harshly frowned upon.

9.  There will be 5 large tables available for artisans to exhibit their wares.  You can bring artwork, t-shirts, cd’s…anything that you feel like selling/trading/showing off.  There is an advance online signup for these tables here.  Each table will be arranged to support 2 artists.  Therefore, there will be 10 slots available for each event.  Please keep the space restrictions in mind when bringing your projects.

10.  The idea of Kirkwood Ballers Club revolves around experimentation and communal involvement.  If you do not have a band or specific project, bring an instrument anyway.  Meet people at the event and sign up to improv together.  Some of the most interesting bands in Atlanta right now got their start this way!

11.  The show will be divided into two portions.  The first portion will consist of performances based on the signup.  The second portion will consist of names chosen by chance.  These people may participate in randomized improv sessions.  There may be quartets, trios, or duets chosen.  Come with a willingness to experiment and try new things!

12. Your input is valuable.  Please contact us or post a comment with suggestions, and any random thoughts that may come to mind.  Kirkwood Ballers Club is for YOU!
